Christian Andvig Fredheim
My name is Christian, and I’ve been teaching yoga since 2012. My journey began with a deep dive into yogic and Buddhist philosophy, which immediately resonated with me—especially when I learned how to apply these teachings both on the mat and in everyday life. At the time, I was working as a carpenter, but I quickly realized that my true path in life was through yoga and Buddhism.
I began studying with teachers from around the world and continued to deepen my understanding of both yoga and Buddhism. Over the years, I’ve completed teacher trainings in Hatha, Yin, and Vinyasa yoga, as well as other styles. But more than the certifications, what truly matters is the direct experience I’ve gained from thousands of hours on the meditation cushion and the yoga mat. The trainings gave me direction and tools, but the value I carry in my heart, body, and mind from personal practice far outweighs any formal education.
My passion for the practice is just as strong today as it was in 2012, and the gifts of the practice keep growing sweeter with time. What inspires me most to share with others is the physical practice that allows us to truly enjoy living in the body rather than feeling burdened by it. I also feel deeply moved to share the insights Buddhism has offered me—how taking full responsibility for my perception of reality and learning to meditate has brought immense freedom.
After many years of practice, I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I am happy and content—and that may be the greatest gift I hope to pass on.
