Have you ever...
✔️... felt unsure about adjustments, technique, or how to modify poses in yoga?

Why is it important for everyone to understand anatomy?
Understanding how your body works is the first step toward making better choices. When you learn how the body’s systems work together—and how one part affects the others—you become better equipped to make informed decisions about movement, nutrition, and overall well-being.
It’s important to remember that learning anatomy is a lifelong journey of discovery. Along the way, you’ll keep uncovering new connections and marvel at how beautifully everything is interconnected. The goal of learning anatomy isn’t just knowledge for the sake of it—it’s to better support yourself.
What about yoga teachers?
For yoga teachers, anatomical knowledge allows a deeper understanding of how muscles, bones, and joints work together. This insight makes it easier to guide others into yoga poses with clarity and precision—reducing the risk of injury and enhancing the quality of the practice.
It also helps you adapt poses based on each student’s unique anatomy, ensuring that everyone can benefit from your class—regardless of body type, experience, or ability.
Teachers who demonstrate a solid grasp of anatomy naturally build more trust and credibility. Students can feel when a teacher really knows what they’re talking about. They’ll feel safer, more seen, and more confident in your guidance—because you’re teaching from both knowledge and embodied understanding.

Meet your teacher:
Halat Sophie Askari
Hi, I’m Halat! I’ve been teaching anatomy in yoga teacher trainings, courses, workshops, and lectures for movement professionals since 2017 – and I’m a certified anatomy nerd.
My fascination with the human body began during my first personal trainer education in 2015 and only grew stronger as I pursued my B.Sc. in Sports Science at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Since then, I’ve taken numerous courses and built a rather extensive library of anatomy books. I also hold an E-RYT® 500 and YACEP® credential with Yoga Alliance.
I truly believe we have far more control and influence over our own physical and mental health than most people realize. The human body is wildly fascinating, and my goal is to spark your curiosity about anatomy—so you’re inspired to begin your own journey of exploration.

In this course, we’ll explore all the major systems of the body
The body’s major systems are deeply interconnected, influencing each other in complex ways. This course will give you a deeper understanding of how everything—from muscle engagement and joint movement to hormonal shifts—affects the body, and how we can work with the body through yoga.
