Who is the teacher?

My name is Małgorzata, but you can call me Gosia. I am a psychologist by training, but a passion for aesthetics steered my career in a different direction.

I discovered yoga while studying at university. I decided to research yoga practitioners, a project that later became part of my master’s degree in health psychology.

My journey into yoga as a dedicated practitioner began in adulthood. Before committing fully to yoga, I trained in pole dance and worked on developing my flexibility. Over time, this evolved into a daily yoga practice, which I have maintained since 2020. Movement and body awareness truly transformed my life, helping me achieve greater freedom, both physically and mentally.

For years, I spent countless hours sitting while working as an eyelash and eyebrow stylist at my salon, Makia, until one day I decided to do something for myself.

Backbends became an important part of that journey. They helped me address the neck, shoulder, back, and hip discomfort associated with a sedentary lifestyle. More than that, they reconnected me with a sense of childhood joy, openness, and the beauty of life.

I believe that anyone, regardless of age, can start practicing yoga, and that exercises engaging the spine are worth doing every day.

I hold a RYT 500 certification and have trained at HiYoga with Eilin Ma Dalby and at Love and All Is Coming with Talia Sutra. I have also completed additional training in feminine yoga, Yin yoga, backbends, flexibility, and inversions. My learning continues as I deepen my understanding of the practice and explore new ways to support others on their yoga journeys.

As a yoga teacher, I teach at SATS Yoga Majorstuen in Oslo and lead private group classes. My aim is to help people develop a stronger connection with their bodies, explore their potential, and experience the physical and mental benefits of regular movement.
